Do You Offer Group Discounts? Why Everyone Pays the Same Price at High Volt Garage

Do you offer group discounts, club deals or a member code? No, we don’t.

We regularly get requests from car clubs, owners’ groups and club admins asking for reduced rates, free checks or a special deal for their members. We understand why people ask. It’s just not how we run High Volt Garage.

Our price is the price. One structure, one rate, and no margin held back to fund discounts later. Whether you drive a Golf, an Audi Q5, a Škoda Octavia or a Transporter, everyone pays the same for the same standard of work.

Our price is built around doing the job properly

When we quote for a service or repair, the figure reflects what it takes to do the job correctly.

That means quality parts, because cheap parts come back. It means dealer-level ODIS diagnostics, a Hunter VAS 6292 alignment rig and the specialist tooling VW Group cars need. And it means technicians who keep training, including two Master Technicians qualified to IMI Level 4 on EV and hybrid.

None of that is free. It’s also what lets us find the real fault instead of fitting parts until the warning light goes out. A recent Audi A3 plug-in hybrid came in with fault codes pointing at expensive high-voltage components. The actual cause was a broken 12V wire in the boot.

You can see the full range of work on our VAG servicing and repair page, from DSG and Haldex servicing to timing belts, ADAS calibration and wheel alignment.

A discount has to come from somewhere

If the parts, training, equipment and time stay the same, a discount can only be funded one way: by building extra margin into everyone else’s price.

That would mean our regular customers paying more so someone else can pay less. We won’t do that.

Some of our customers have been bringing their cars to us for more than 10 years. Picture one of them in for a service. Then a transport van pulls in, the driver quotes a club code and pays less for the same work.

How would that feel after a decade of loyalty? We know how we’d feel.

Club deals and freebies aren’t part of how we work

The requests we get usually look like this:

  • A group rate or club discount code
  • Free inspections or diagnostic checks for members
  • A free service or repair in return for “exposure”
  • A deal for several vehicles from the same group

There’s no hostility towards anyone who asks. It’s reasonable to ask a business what it can offer. Our answer is still no. We don’t run one price for members of a group and another for everyone else.

Consistent pricing means consistent standards

When everyone pays on the same structure, the job is decided by the car, the fault and the correct repair process. Not by who’s asked for a deal.

We never have to cut diagnostic time, switch to cheaper parts or skip an inspection to make a discount work. The price supports the work, and the work supports the result.

That holds whether you’re round the corner in Peterlee or coming over from Horden or Wingate. It’s the same approach behind everything we do as an independent VW and Audi specialist.

What every customer gets

  • One pricing structure and the same rate for the same work
  • Quality parts chosen for your vehicle
  • Technicians who train on VW Group cars and keep training
  • Dealer-level diagnostics and VAG-specific repair knowledge
  • A clear explanation of what your car needs and why
  • A 12 month, 12,000 mile parts and labour warranty on our work

You don’t need a club membership, a code or a personal connection to get any of it.

The price is the price

We won’t apologise for charging properly for the work we do. A fixed price isn’t about refusing to help anyone. It’s about making sure the price covers the job done correctly, and protecting the customers who’ve trusted us for years.

If you’re shopping around for the biggest discount, we’re probably not the garage for you. If you want a specialist that works on nothing but VW Group cars, and you can read why that matters, you’re in the right place.

Nobody subsidises anybody else. Everyone gets the same standard of work.

If your Volkswagen, Audi, SEAT, Škoda or CUPRA needs servicing, diagnostics or repair, call the workshop on 0191 586 4148 to book it in. We’re on the Northwest Industrial Estate in Peterlee, County Durham, open Monday to Thursday, 08:30 to 18:30.
